Vault Creation Problems

I'm trying to create a custom prefab for vaulting.
My first step was to resize the demo vault prefab so my character (smaller than Atlas) wouldn't clip into it. However, this immediately made the vault stop working. What am I doing wrong?
 
You need to give us more info here, screenshots or even a video of your vault obstacle and characters would be useful. Did you change anything apart from the obstacle's size ? Could you show your character's Vault ability settings, and compare them to the agility demo Atlas' ? And speaking of which, could the demo character vault over your custom obstacle ?
