Hi
Some namings are really vague in UCC and are not addressed clearly in the tutorials. Could you please give more precise explanations on what these do?
In Character Manager Item Panel:

1.When I am creating a First Person Item, what is the difference between First Person Base and Item Parent?
2.What is the differencec between State Configuration and State Profile?
3.In your First Person Character Item tutorial,
you used a prefab of both arms to use as Item Base. What is the difference, if I use the arms under the Nolan Prefab in Demo Scene? After watching your tutorial I am still unsure about the entire workflow from DCC package to creating items and characters.
My understanding, is that I need to make my FBX contains Arms, Body, Head as seperate objects. When I create the items I could just use the arm rig as the base?
4.I am guessing Presets cannot be created using right click menu? It seems only able to be created in inspector clicking on + sign.
5.Any tutorial on how to set up a more complex animation for rideable characters? Is rideble character

Thanks

1. First person base is the GameObject that contains the entire arm structure, while Item Parent is the GameObject that the item should be parented to within the First Person Base GameObject.
2. The state configuration contains the state profile: https://opsive.com/support/documentation/ultimate-character-controller/editors/state-configuration/
3. The First Person Base should point to an existing base object or the model file within the scene. It cannot use a prefab.
4. No, because presets need to know the type of object that it is being created for.
5. Animations are more on the Unity side of things so this page has some good links: https://opsive.com/support/document...ller/animation/animator/replacing-animations/
