Issue with 'wall gliding' on box collider stairs

When going up stairs made of individual box colliders the UCC stops moving when it is facing in to a wall (even slightly).
This does not happen when going down the stairs.
This also does not happen when stairs are replaced with a single ramped box.
Nolan does the same as my character (when placing my stairs in the agility demo scene).
Here is an illustration with my character:

Any ideas, please, as this is very clunky on controls, to not be able to walk up stairs if you very slightly impact the wall?
 
I believe I fixed this a couple of days ago. The changes were a bit too extensive to post here but we should have the next version out within a few weeks. I just tried going up the agility pack stairs and Nolan didn't have any issues.
 
Thanks, I'll look forward to that. The "Agility Stairs" have both ramp and 'step colliders' and you only see the effect with these stairs if you remove the ramp, but i presume you are aware of that.
