How can I efficiently set up directional influenced attacks?

I am looking for your advice on how I can set this up because I have failed to do this perfectly without having my character freeze up with what I can think of with my failed solutions I've been testing for so long.

I want to create attacks that are activated only by holding either forward, right, down or left and then pressing left click during one of those movement keys will activate a different attack based on direction. All 4 separate attacks.

This is my closest solution that still freezes the character and I don't know why. I want to know what you would do instead.

Instead of using the Combo Timeout I would instead create your own starter class. This will give you complete control over when the ability starts and is what that starter was designed for - the Combo Timeout is just a basic example to give an example of the API.
