demo animation problem

I have setup a shotgun pickup item with my own gun model and using the demo shotgun animation , but the animations did not work so l try to compare with the demo shotgun and I found out my own model can play the demo animation only if the local spawn position / rotation is set exactly the same as the demo gun. Doing this way my model definitely is not on my characters' hand. May I know how to fix this problem?

The weapon needs to be facing forward, and it looks like your new model is not facing forward so it rotates to face forward based off of the animation. You could try parenting the item so it will face forward and then use that parent for the item.

I have a further question, I hope the moveable meshes from my guns also move with demo animation. Do you have tutorial that shows how to rig different parts for my guns to match the demo animation?

Glad you got it! Unfortunately that's outside the scope of the character controller documentation. You should be able to find a lot of resources for the modeling program that you are using though.
