Weird animation issue?

Very possible I may be doing something wrong but I finally got my custom mesh character set up, however this is my result:

The left hand seems to be clipping through the right for some reason. Is there some sort of retargeting that needs to be done to use the UFPS anim controller?
 
This relates to the proportions of your character's rig versus the rig that is used by the animations. Unity's animation retargeting feature is retargeting the bones, but because your rig has slightly different promotions it is positions the hands over one another. You may be able to adjust the animations within a modeling package to adjust the bones, but the way to truly solve this is to use animations that are designed for your character's rig.
