Hand position on bow string

I've been trying to understand how to make the bow string work properly. I can't seem to get the right hand to not move off the bow string.

It really only happens when the character points downward. Otherwise the hand placement is fine. Is there a way to fix this? I thought about limiting the characters view rotation to prevent this but if there is a better way I would rather do that.
 
Have you created your own animations for the bow, or are you using the demo animations? The demo does not use IK for the right hand, but the animations are made to fit the bow directly. So I guess the animations simply don't fit your character/bow combination.
You can try putting an IK location to the string, and set it to the non-dominant hand position on the third person perspective of the bow.
