Enemy Blood

Hey everyone, This might be a noob question, sorry. I see that the character (Nolan) has a cylinder collider. This is caused my "bullets" to hit outside of the character and making my blood decals splatter away from the actual mesh of the character. How can I get the bullets and blood to actually hit and render on the character and not offset?
