Unity freeze when modifying behavior tree which is part of a prefab.

I'm having a problem when I try modifying behavior trees suddenly. Modifying a tree which is on a prefab gameobject (which happens to be a UCC character prefab) and then saving the changes will cause a unity freeze immediately. Additionally, after reloading, even selecting the object seems to cause unity to freeze (become non responsive). Behavior designer editor has been closed and open, it happens in both situations.

Any thoughts are appreciated.
 
It looks like you are using an extremely old version of Behavior Designer - have you tried updating to the latest? Also, have you tried to use a different serialization type?
