Proper Speed Adjustment in UCC Integration

Hello,

I have a UMA UCC AI character working with BD. While patrolling, there are many different places to adjust to speed of the character, but I cannot really figure out how to do it "properly". Possible candidates are the NavMesh Agent and the Patrol inspector settings. Both of the speed components in those functions seem to be overriden by UCC locomotion. So how do you control the speed through BD, say, if I want the character to act at different speeds at different times, other than making him run?

If I just want to setup the base speed in UCC Locomotion, I can change root motion or without root motion. In both of these settings the walking animation speed seems to stay the same (I assumed with root motion it would change that). Therefore I would need to adjust each and every animation speed, is that right?

Another option is to change the time scale, but then this also messes all animations (and the slow-mo sound effects :)).

Any idea on how to do this properly?
