Keeping Wandering AI to Certain Area

I assume the method to keep certain AI restricted to an area (using the wander task) would be to bake a separate navmesh for those agents in the size that'd I'd want? Is there a better workflow for this? I'd rather not use waypoint if I don't have to.
 
Constraining the agent by restricting the NavMesh sounds like a good way to go. I can also add it to my list to restrict it via code within the wander task itself.
