horse riding not working

i've copied the character template but now when i set up my own character i can't ride the horse
 
i can't attach the recording but the ride animation plays out and the character returns to normal stance
 
Can you list more details? Does the character mount on the horse? What animator parameters are set on the animator? Is the ride ability active?

i click "F" the character attempts to ride, it almost performs the riding animation but fails in the middle, i'm using the exact same animator from the demo, i've sent you a video on discord showing exactly how the animation cancels and the character fails to ride suddenly, my discord name is truegrit11
 
Ah, that looks like the fall ability is starting. Check the order of your abilities - the ride ability should have a higher priority (be higher in the list) compared to the fall ability.
