Duplicating or copying trees

Hey there - i'm using Behaviour Tree Designer and it works great, but - and this might sound stupid - I'm having some workflow trouble because I can't for the heck of it find an easy way to duplicate a tree, e.g. for a slightly varying agent. Is there any way to copy-paste large trees (without losing the connections) from one game object to another? Or maybe to reference external trees and then remove that reference but keeping the actual tree?
 
You could create an external tree from your original tree and then reference that external tree. The RTS sample project has an example of this.
