BDP 3 vs 2 vs pro vs state designer

Hi everyone, I’m getting a bit confused here.

I originally purchased BD Pro, which now seems to be called BD Pro 2. Apparently, this version is now deprecated. Do I need to buy BD3 now, or is it a free upgrade for existing BD Pro owners?

Also, could someone explain the difference between this and the State Designer?

Initially it was a free upgrade, but through various problems we ended up with a $5 upgrade. On the Asset Store it should show $5 when you get to the checkout page.

Behavior Designer and State Designer are independent of one another. Version 3 of Behavior Designer Pro is required if you want to have it work with State Designer.

Is there a guide available, or is there anything specific to keep in mind when updating from BD pro 2 to BD3?
